Gooii are proud to have developed and launched the 'Climate Action Tracker' website, to coincide with the 'UN Climate Change Conference' being held in Durban during November/December 2011.

The site is an independent science-based assessment, which tracks the emission commitments and actions of UN countries. Providing up-to-date assessment of individual national pledges, the website is designed to help users reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. 'Apps for Children with Special Needs', or 'A4CWSN' as they are often better known, are a community committed to providing parents and educators with more information about Apps for the iPad and other such devices, that can benefit children with special needs in the home and school environment. Veronika Walshe is an administrator for the A4CWSN Australia Facebook page and here’s what she had to say about The ‘Fab-Phonics’ series of apps:

“Up, Up and Away is a wonderful app, I use it daily. This is the first one I brought and I brought the others soon after. My child just loves it, and there is a bit of humour in it as well - which always gets a laugh. This is just a great app. If your child is learning CVC words, really consider buying this and the others in the series.

Scottish universities hold a high proportion of Scotland’s nationally important collections – more than 1.8 million items. The Revealing the Hidden Collections website gives information about all the material through almost 2000 detailed descriptions of collections and an increasing number of records of individual items and collections, making available all records through a single search maintained by the Culture Grid. Gooii have upgraded the NEN Gallery for E2BN. The new version has a wider format but retains the much loved look and feel. Underneath the hood we have re-engineered the whole thing to make it faster and more expandable. It also has some great new features including a JSON API for external developers to use and a customisable widget which can be used to embed the gallery in external sites.

An expanded 'My albums' for logged in users has made it even easier to upload images, tag and organise them. With 20,000 high quality images free for educational use, the NEN Gallery is a great free resource containing features that can be re-used and integrated into other resources worldwide. Gooii were commissioned to design and program the site for the Nottingham based NDVF, which included a bespoke Content Management System and Flash games and was produced in consultation with young people in Nottinghamshire.

Collections Connect is a fast software solution, which extracts records and media from an institution’s existing systems, such as Collections Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management Systems (DAM) or even spreadsheets and presents them in a web ready form for publishing online. As Collections Connect is separate to the CMS you can use it to augment or change metadata before it is shown to web users, without changing the original curatorial records in the CMS.

Blast those ghosts and learn your tables with this great new App, adapted from the Primary Games classic.

Try and score 100 hits as fast as you can by tapping on ghosts which are a multiple of your chosen number. Be careful though, tapping an incorrect multiple will see your score reduced by 10 and it's Game Over when you reach -100.

Gooii took Interactive Resources's classic game and rebuilt it from the ground up for Apple iPhone. The app features entirely new graphics and has been coded in Objective C, Apple's approved programming language for iPhone and iPad Apps. The project was taken from the initial brief through to completion and submission to the Apple App Store. Having photographed people like Colin Firth, Prince William, Cindy Crawford, Kevin Spacey, Jay-Z, Maddona, Kylie Minogue and the Queen, Rankin is considered one of world’s top photographers. Using Rankin photography, Gooii were commisioned to design Gabrielle Aplin’s ‘Never Fade EP’, producing a simple, yet striking design. Released on iTunes on Monday 9th May 2011, it is the follow up to Sept 2010 release of Gabrielle’s hugely successful Acoustic EP, also desiged by Gooii.

Portfolio: The 'Find a Library' Mobile Website

Developed for the Collections Trust using Culture Grid, "Find a Library" is a website targeted at mobile browsers. This easy to use interface allows users to search for UK library locations and will display detailed information where available. Users can also help improve the data by visiting libraries and use their mobile phone to pinpoint the exact location and report updates about library details.

The Towards Maturity Benchmark Centre was developed by the Red E Toolkit team, a partnership between Schemeta and Gooii.

Red E Toolkit is an easy to use online self-assessment tool and set of resources to support organisational planning, change and progression. The self-assessment toolkit can be based on an existing maturity model or the team can develop a readiness toolkit from scratch.

The readiness toolkit then provides a report that can help organisations understand where they are at the moment and provide them with links to help them progress towards their goal and deal with change.

Administrators can easily edit the content and can view information about usage and progress.
